Project Por Amor Feature

Last December, we led 32 travelers, including actress Julie Carmen, on a journey to Cuba to celebrate her great-grandfather, José Manuel “Lico” Jiménez Berroa (1851–1917). An Afro-Cuban pianist and composer known as the “Ebony Liszt,” Lico’s pioneering work defied the racial barriers of his time. Our tour revived his nearly forgotten legacy and brought his descendants together across generations. Watch the highlight reel here, and visit www.licojimenez.com to explore his music and an upcoming documentary.

A Trip of a Lifetime.

At Project Por Amor, our vision is to be the premier conduit for profound cultural exchange, enriching the lives of our guests through deep, immersive experiences that bridge generations and geographies. We invite our guests into the heart of Cuban and Icelandic cultures by connecting travelers directly with the soul of these nations—its people, art, music, heritage, and their unique points-of-view. We envision a world where travel transcends leisure and becomes a transformative journey toward global understanding and lifelong learning. Our commitment is to provide meticulously curated travel experiences that seamlessly blend exploration with education and entertainment, to not only celebrate but also preserve the cultural legacies of our destinations.
