Hosting your alumni in a complicated country for a meaningful educational experience without exhausting your staff while trying to fundraise is nearly impossible.

Your guests have high expectations. Don’t let crowded tourist traps, transactional experiences of watered-down culture, and unreliable local connections put a stain on your great reputation. Or even worse, put the safety of your group in jeopardy. We can help!

"Five star all the way. Superb planning, timing and interests. Great leaders, lectures, sights, food, hotels experiences and transportation. Cannot imagine a better introduction and understanding of Cuba. The other travelers in the program were an integral part of making the tour such a memorable experience. Thank you!"

- Loren Rice (Lewis & Clark College Alumni & Parent Programs Tour, Cuba)

How To Work Together in

3 Simple Steps

1. We design your tour

You tell us what you want (destination, dates, focus, other requests) and we create your itinerary, a proposal contract, an online detailed brochure, a booking system, and marketing materials.

2. You announce it to your community

Add it to your newsletter, website, social media feeds, and talk it up until we’ve reached the target group number. That’s all you need to do.

3. We make the magic happen

We follow up with all the registrants to prepare them for the journey. We process payments, book and pay for all the services, paperwork, and activities, and send you a profit margin check upon return.

Our sophisticated system of technology and staff in Los Angeles, Havana, and Reykjavik provide an extraordinary customer experience from start to finish.

Lock in your dates now before they're taken!

Enhance the Experience

Optional add-ons available for further cultural engagement and learning

Take one-on-one virtual Spanish or Icelandic language classes with a private Cuban or Icelandic teacher before and after the trip. Focus on relevant vocabulary, local lingo, and cultural etiquette. Arrive on your trip with the ability to ask questions, share thoughts, build rapport, and catch the cultural nuances. Participants will have an in-person outing with their teacher while visiting the country and then continue virtual classes after the trip if desired.

Linguistic Labs

Travelers can extend their journey beyond our trip dates to explore their unique interests at their own pace. Do professional research, network with local professionals and artists met during the tour, or find potential partners for collaborations and deeper cultural insights. We’ll extend hotel reservations and provide individualized guidance to help fulfill their interests. (Pairs nicely with our Linguistic Labs)

Exploration Extensions

Sponsor local artists, innovators, and entrepreneurs to foster genuine solidarity between cultures. Be a part of promoting mutual respect and contributing to international development that transcends our politics. Participants can choose from several legal and impactful ways to elevate the local cultural economy. This international stewardship fulfills the US Treasury’s purposeful travel to Cuba guidelines in an unprecedented way.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Authenticity is at the core of what we do. We promise genuine cultural exchanges, diving into the local stories of each destination. We thoughtfully curate interactions with prominent figures such as artists, journalists, entrepreneurs, chefs, spiritual leaders, farmers, and more to offer real insights into the cultural fabric of each destination. We immerse you in live concerts, art exhibits, sophisticated cuisine, and architectural tours. We avoid tourist clichés. Travelers return home relaxed and intellectually inspired by a richer understanding of our world.

  • Participants and your staff will not have to worry about travel logistics or inconveniences. We handle all the red tape, from visas to travel licenses, itineraries, reservations, communications and payments. We strive to ensure a stress-free experience, complete with luxury accommodations so that you can fully immerse yourself in the transformative journey.

  • Your safety is our top priority. We provide on-call assistance for any emergency, safe and secure accommodations and transportation, and in-country medical insurance. We only travel to countries that lead the world in the lowest crime levels and best health care systems.

  • We recommend visiting Iceland in the summer and Cuba in the winter or spring. Cuba is too hot in the summer and September and October is hurricane season. Tropical destinations are fabulous when it’s cold at home. Iceland is ideal in the summer when the weather is nice, the wildflowers bloom, and the daylight is abundant. However, the winter is a great time to avoid crowds and witness the Aurora Borealis.

  • Our adventures are specially designed to foster meaningful connections, allowing your community time to bond with each other over unforgettable shared experiences. Opportunities for intensive group learning and new experiences stimulate conversation throughout the program. It is common for travelers to develop close ties that extend beyond the tour resulting in regular reunion get-togethers years later.

  • There are lots of benefits to be had from this tour. You set the retail price to control your per-person margin. It is common to generate over one thousand dollars per person for groups of twenty or more travelers. Furthermore, providing this life-changing experience to your patrons will increase their annual giving which sometimes far exceeds the built-in revenue. Finally, you'll be able to give a couple of free trips to your staff who accompany the group, usually a professor and Alumni Association staff. Cuba tends to be a more profitable destination because the landed cost is a lot lower than Iceland and it can easily accommodate larger group sizes.

  • Planning a tour at least a year out works best. This gives us enough time to design the perfect experience, reserve our first-choice accommodations, and announce the opportunity before participants plan other travel for the year. The earlier we start, the easier it is to be successful. However, many prices and bookings are not available more than eighteen months ahead of time.
