OGURI

DANCE and EYE was an exhibition about Ogrui's cutting-edge dance work based on the Japanese Butoh dance tradition. Held at the Fabrica de Arte Cubano in March of 2024, the exhibition included over 25 photographic images photographed by American Photographers: Andrew McPherson, Richard Nielsen, Atiba Jefferson,

Ricardo Vidana and a collaborating film by Roxanne Steinberg. Oguri and Roxanne provided a lecture demonstration about their dance practice to a group of Cuban dancers and dance professionals. These programs were presented to Cuba’s Dance community and the general public free of charge.

PPA was pleased to co produce the internationally accliaimed Quebecan Neón Artist Francios Mignault in a one time performance titled [Ne] Butoh. The work, created on site at the Havana Bienal 15 is a two hour high-spectacle performance marrying his mastery of Neón and movement meant for an audience of photographers and social media influencers. Click to watch a short clip.
