CUBA

10 reasons why Cuba is on everyone’s bucket list:

  1. It’s like time-traveling back to a surreal parallel universe that’s only a few hours away by plane.

  2. Cuba is one of the safest countries in the world with great health care and highly educated people.

  3. The arts in Cuba are truly magnificent! Witness the mesmerizing expressions through music, dance, contemporary art, film, theatre, and literature.

  4. Cubans are exceptionally friendly, charismatic people who treat Americans like family.

  5. The architecture and vintage street life are vast playgrounds for your photography.

  6. Digital detox! The lack of internet connectivity creates an unparalleled opportunity to find renewed pleasure in social connectivity.

  7. Great food and tropical weather! Perhaps the most important part?

  8. The low cost allows for an affordable trip with enough room for your generous profit margin.

  9. The history of Cuba reads like a fast-paced romance novel.

  10. The satisfaction of connecting with neighbors whose access has been forbidden for 65 years is profound.

20 years of experience

As experts in Cuba, we customize any kind of journey in the most enchanting way. We know the country and its people better than any US tour operator.

The following is an outline of our recommended Alumni & Parent tour of Havana and Viñales. We can use this as a template to design a bespoke experience perfect for your community.

CUBA TOUR DETAILS

Brochure and tour Itinerary examples:

We have designed the above tour for a minimum of 14 people. The costs vary significantly depending on the number of people splitting the services paid for as a large unit. Therefore, the actual cost per traveler decreases as the size of the group increases. The cost outline in the chart below lists illustrative wholesale prices.

FUNDRAISING POTENTIAL

You choose a retail price that you think will work best. We recommend setting a price that doesn’t change depending on how many people sign up. In this case, you will make the difference between the price paid by the traveler and the actual cost depending on how many people sign up. See the below chart for suggested prices with your per-traveler profit margin according to the number of pax if prices were set to $4,995 for double and $5,995 for single occupancy.

Notice that larger groups are far more economically viable than small groups. Your profit margin grows exponentially as the number of participants increases because you make more per person multiplied by more people.

BOTTOM LINE

Total profit for a group of 10 double and 6 single occupancy travelers: $11,240 ($7,070 +$4,170)
Total profit for a group of 16 double and 10 single occupancy travelers: $39,062 ($24,112 + $14,950)

ICELAND

10 reasons why Iceland is also on everyone’s bucket list:

  1. It’s like traveling to another planet with a completely different palette of colors, light, topography, and other elements, probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

  2. Iceland is ranked as the safest country in the world with great health care and a culture of educated and progressive intellectuals.

  3. The music community in Iceland is experiencing a magnificent renaissance that is truly inspiring. It also has one of the world’s richest literary traditions.

  4. Although more stoic than Cubans, Icelanders are also friendly, proud, and heartwarming hosts.

  5. The high design that is integrated into almost all things is wonderful. You will not find anything subpar in Iceland.

  6. Iceland is statistically considered to be the best place in the world to be a woman. It’s the world’s oldest-running democracy and it’s a leader in sustainability and eco-friendliness.

  7. It has the cleanest tap water you’ll ever drink, the best fish you’ll ever eat, and the freshest air you’ll ever breathe.

  8. Almost every little town and neighborhood has a public geothermal pool and many luxury spas will provide some of the most rejuvenating experiences.

  9. The raw power of geology uniquely shapes everyday life and offers visitors an incomparable opportunity to learn about Earth’s dynamic processes. If we’re lucky, you might even witness the majesty of an active volcano.

  10. The pulse of ancient myths still beats strongly in Iceland; tales of Norse gods, Vikings, elves, trolls, fairies, and dragons weave through the national consciousness, infusing every journey with enchantment.

  10. Sicily offers more than beauty — it offers a deep breath, a shift in perspective, and something real.

BAJA NORTE

10 reasons why Baja is on everyone’s bucket list:

  1. It’s just south of the border, but it feels like another world.

  2. The food scene blends tradition and innovation in ways that will blow your mind (and your palate).

  3. You’ll meet winemakers, fishermen, and artists who are redefining what Baja means.

  4. The Valle de Guadalupe is Mexico’s best-kept wine secret — and it’s still blissfully unpolished.

  5. The Pacific coast stretches wild and wide, with sunsets that stop you in your tracks.

  6. Street tacos, oysters, and Baja-Med cuisine are just the beginning.

  7. It’s a hub for sustainable farming, slow food, and border-blurring creativity.

  8. You’ll experience the richness of Mexican culture without the crowds.

  9. The borderlands here are complex, beautiful, and full of stories worth listening to.

  10. It’s a place to unplug, tune in, and rediscover how close magic really is.

Optional Experience Enhancers

Our meaningful add-ons for both Cuba and Iceland are designed to elevate the potential of cultural engagement and deepen the level of learning beyond the limits of the tour.

Linguistic Labs

Take one-on-one virtual Spanish or Icelandic language classes with a private Cuban or Icelandic teacher before and after the trip. Maximize the learning potential with a tailored longer-term program of study and mentorship that is anchored by travel. Focus on relevant vocabulary, local lingo, and cultural etiquette. Arrive with the ability to ask questions, share thoughts, build rapport, and understand nuances. This will also give confidence and enrich travel by kickstarting interaction with a local to learn about other topics before arrival. Participants will go out with their teacher in person and continue virtual classes inspired by the rich experiences they had.

Exploration Extensions

Travelers can extend their journey at their own pace, pursue unique interests, and immerse themselves in the local communities. Do professional research or network by using additional time to connect with local professionals and artists they met on the tour. Open doors to potential collaborations or deeper cultural insights. Pair this with our Linguistic Labs to continue in-person language study. Or, they can simply explore more parts of the island for personal discovery. We’ll extend hotel reservations and provide individualized guidance to help fulfill their interests.

International Stewardship

Sponsor local artists, innovators, and entrepreneurs to foster a genuine solidarity between cultures. Promote mutual respect and understanding that can resonate beyond the politics of Cuba and the United States. This will not only enrich travelers’ experience but also contribute to sustainable cultural growth, fulfilling a profound responsibility to enhance the places they visit. Participants can choose from several legal and impactful ways to positively elevate the local cultural economy. This international stewardship fulfills the US Treasury’s purposeful travel to Cuba guidelines in an unprecedented way.

Room Occupancy: PPA will make every effort to accommodate your single or double room or suite request. Room Conditions: PPA will work with the service provider to make every effort to ensure that your room is acceptable to US Standards. However, travelers must understand that all accommodations are unique and there will be many small differences between every room. Travelers assume responsibility for their physical abilities to travel. PPA and their agents reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the trip any time before departure or during the trip should the person’s health or physical condition or general deportment impede the operation of the program, in which case no refund will be given.
