There is no city in America that celebrates the holidays quite like New Orleans — and this December, I would love for you to experience it firsthand.

The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation has partnered with Project Por Amor and the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans to bring our members a six-day holiday immersion into the heart of the Crescent City. Through the lens of history, architecture, music, food, and community, we'll encounter living traditions that have shaped life in South Louisiana for centuries. We'll dine at a classic Réveillon dinner at Brennan's, witness the fiery spectacle of gumbo cook-offs and Cajun music at the Festival of the Bonfires along the Mississippi River, and step inside beautifully preserved historic homes dressed for the season during the PRC's celebrated Holiday Home Tour. We'll stroll beneath centuries-old live oaks glowing with lights in City Park and gather for intimate live music performances and conversations with local historians, cultural stewards, and community voices.

Woven throughout are the moments that define New Orleans at its best: long meals, layered histories, spontaneous music, and the deep sense of place that emerges when preservation and living culture meet.

Program Details

Double occupancy: $4,875
Single occupancy: $5,960

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: A $750 per traveler non-refundable deposit due upon registration to secure your space. Final balances are due by September 9th, 2026.

REGISTRATION AND CONFIRMATION: Up to 24 spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Full refunds will be provided if minimum enrollment is not reached.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS: Flight bookings to New Orleans are the responsibility of each traveler.
