KEEPERS OF CULTURE: NEW ORLEANS

Organizations like yours are doing irreplaceable work. We've built an experience in New Orleans specifically designed to bring that mission to life for members and donors.

Give your members a trip that advances your mission.

Project Por Amor has built a ready-made affinity travel program anchored by the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans. Seven days of architectural immersion, scholar access, and authentic cultural experiences — fully operated, so your organization takes the credit.

WHAT YOUR ORGANIZATION GETS

Member Engagement: An exclusive experience that renews loyalty and deepens connection to your mission — far beyond a magazine subscription.

Major Donor Cultivation: Intimate travel creates relationships galas can't. Ideal for board retreats and patron circle trips.

Fundraising Revenue: Structure proceeds to benefit your org directly — white-label, co-branded, or full group charter.

Zero Overhead: You promote to your list. We handle everything else: logistics, guiding, content, and operations.

Mission Reinforcement: New Orleans is one of America's great preservation stories. Your members will come home as advocates.

Architecture-focused Curriculum: Not a generic "New Orleans experience" but a structured immersion that maps onto your programming priorities.

THREE WAYS TO PARTNER

  1. White-Label Affinity Trip: Tour runs under your banner. We operate. You own the member relationship.

  2. Co-Branded Experience: Shared billing. Ideal for national orgs with strong brand equity seeking a domestic offering.

  3. Private Group Charter: Exclusive dates for your board, major donors, or patron circle. Premium pricing, maximum intimacy.

How To Work Together in 3 Simple Steps

1. We design your tour

You tell us what you want (destination, dates, focus, other requests) and we create your itinerary, a proposal contract, an online detailed brochure, a booking system, and marketing materials.

2. You announce it to your community

Add it to your newsletter, website, social media feeds, and talk it up until we’ve reached the target group number. That’s all you need to do.

3. We make the magic happen

We follow up with all the registrants to prepare them for the journey. We process payments, book and pay for all the services, paperwork, and activities, and send you a profit margin check upon return.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • New Orleans is one of the most culturally rich and distinctive cities in the United States. Shaped by French, Spanish, African, Caribbean, Indigenous, and immigrant influences, the city offers a remarkable example of how diverse traditions can come together to create something entirely unique. Its music, cuisine, architecture, and neighborhoods tell stories of resilience, creativity, and cultural preservation that continue to inspire visitors from around the world.

For nonprofit organizations, New Orleans also offers valuable opportunities to engage with themes of community development, historic preservation, social impact, and recovery. The city's ongoing commitment to protecting its heritage while adapting to change provides meaningful lessons that resonate far beyond Louisiana.

Additionally, as geopolitical uncertainty and global travel challenges continue to affect international destinations, New Orleans offers an accessible domestic alternative that delivers the same sense of cultural immersion, meaningful exchange, and transformative travel experience often sought abroad.

  • Authenticity is at the core of what we do. We promise genuine cultural exchanges, diving into the local stories of each destination. We thoughtfully curate interactions with prominent figures such as artists, journalists, entrepreneurs, chefs, spiritual leaders, farmers, and more to offer real insights into the cultural fabric of each destination. We immerse you in live concerts, art exhibits, sophisticated cuisine, and architectural tours. We avoid tourist clichés. Travelers return home relaxed and intellectually inspired by a richer understanding of our world.

  • Participants and your staff will not have to worry about travel logistics or inconveniences. We handle all the red tape, from itineraries and reservations, to communications and payments. We strive to ensure a stress-free experience, complete with luxury accommodations so that you can fully immerse yourself in the transformative journey.

  • Our adventures are specially designed to foster meaningful connections, allowing your community time to bond with each other over unforgettable shared experiences. Opportunities for intensive group learning and new experiences stimulate conversation throughout the program. It is common for travelers to develop close ties that extend beyond the tour resulting in regular reunion get-togethers years later. And because we do all the heavy lifting, you are free to build connections with your group too.

  • There are lots of benefits to be had from this tour. You set the retail price to control your per-person margin. It is common to generate over $1,000 per person for groups of 20 or more travelers. Furthermore, providing this life-changing experience to your patrons will increase their annual giving which sometimes far exceeds the built-in revenue. Finally, you'll be able to give a couple of free trips to your staff who accompany the group.

  • Planning a tour at least a year out works best. This gives us enough time to design the perfect experience, reserve our first-choice accommodations, and announce the opportunity before participants plan other travel for the year. The earlier we start, the easier it is to be successful. However, many prices and bookings are not available more than eighteen months ahead of time.
